Nashville's most unapologetically ferocious punk trio is back and they mean business. Winona Fighter has dropped their first new music of 2026 with the explosive new single "BOMBS AWAY," out now via Rise Records — and the lyric video is exactly the kind of incendiary shot across the bow you'd expect from this band.

Frontwoman Coco Kinnon keeps it perfectly concise: "Everybody needs a song right now."
She's not wrong. "BOMBS AWAY" follows up the band's critically acclaimed debut album MY APOLOGIES TO THE CHEF (and its stellar deluxe edition featuring covers of Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" and Violent Femmes' "Blister In The Sun"). Featured on Consequence, Brooklyn Vegan, Rolling Stone, UPROXX, NPR, FLOOD Magazine, the New Yorker and more — Winona Fighter has been building serious momentum, and this track keeps the fire burning.
The band — Coco Kinnon (frontwoman/multi-instrumentalist), Dan Fuson (lead guitar), and Austin Luther (bass/producer) — will be performing at Welcome To Rockville today, and heading out on the idobi Radio Summer School Tour starting June 19th alongside Honey Revenge, South Arcade, Games We Play, and Chase Petra. They'll also hit Vans Warped Tour at the Long Beach and Mexico City dates this year.
