German heavy metal quintet The Night Eternal are opening a new chapter. The band has announced their album Cold Velvet, due August 21 via Metal Blade Records, alongside a new single and video.

The band speaks to the ambition behind the record: "With this album we set out to open a new musical chapter… Each song stands strong on its own, yet together they form a cohesive narrative."

For fans craving traditional heavy metal with a fresh perspective, this is one to mark on the calendar. The Night Eternal will also be making live appearances with a July 18 appearance at the Baden In Blut Festival and release shows in Germany August 20-22.
