New York avant-death metal act THÆTAS — featuring members of Reeking Aura, Asystole, and Needlepusher — are back after several years of gestation with their new LP The Irredeemable Age, out June 26th on Profound Lore Records.

The long-awaited follow-up to their 2020 Maggot Stomp debut Shrines To Absurdity, this one shows THÆTAS refining and intensifying their brutal death metal approach while deepening explorations into the bizarre and avant-garde. Nine tracks in barely thirty minutes — a dynamic mosaic of obsessively dark, organic, off-kilter, and kinetic death metal.

Mixed and mastered by Colin Marston (Krallice, Gorguts, Pyrrhon). Cover art by Jon Zig.

Vocalist/bassist Cory Peterson on lead single "For The Hope Devoid": "It's about a sinking feeling coming over more and more people that something has gone horribly wrong and the confusion they experience trying to figure out what it is and how they missed it all this time."
