Long Island/NYC-based occult black metal faction TELOCH VOVIN release their haunting and diverse full-length Towards The Inevitable this Friday, May 8th, and Decibel Magazine is hosting the exclusive advance stream alongside an interview with founding member Grigori.
The album combines black metal with elements of traditional, death, and doom metal, plus classical and ambient/electronic sounds — all intertwined with the band's deep occult practice. Raw and violent, yet captivating and hypnotic. The name says it all: "teloch" translates to "death" in Enochian, and "vovin" translates as "dragon."
"Like the ravenous vortex on the cover, Towards the Inevitable is a malevolent, seething, dynamic maelstrom seeking to both entrance and devour the listener. The inevitable implied here is Death... Liberation within the boundless arms ov Mother Khaos." — Grigori
The album features a guest guitar solo by Sebastian Ramstedt (Necrophobic), Hebrew language passages, and an extraordinary 16-minute classical/metal closing suite "Panzer Fist" with violin, viola, and cello. Mixed and mastered by Mike Usifer (Prime Evil).
