New Jersey stoner rock veterans Shovelhead are back after 19 years with the video single "Witching Hour," the opening track off their new album A Place of Dead Roads, out September 12th.
Originally forming in the early '90s as The Lemmings, Shovelhead helped lay the groundwork for the New Jersey heavy rock scene alongside Monster Magnet, The Atomic Bitchwax, Solace, and Halfway to Gone. The band's current lineup — founders Mike Scott and Jim LaPointe alongside George Pierro (Solarized, Maegashira) — self-produced the new record, with Pierro also handling recording, mixing, and mastering. A record release show is set for September 12th in Jackson, NJ with Shut Up and Black Horse Pike.
