German death metal outfit ROTTEN SOIL have released their sophomore album, "I Worship Death" — a savage, no-frills tribute to the classic Swedish death metal sound. The album dropped February 27, 2026, and is available digitally, on CD, and on limited vinyl.

Hailing from Trier in Germany's Ruhr area, Rotten Soil have been on a relentless mission since 2020: no trends, no compromises — just chainsaw-driven brutality rooted in the early '90s Swedish scene. For fans of Dismember, Entombed, Bloodbath, and Unleashed, this is eleven tracks of uncompromising death metal, including a crushing cover of Dismember's "Casket Garden."

The album was mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman (At The Gates, Dimmu Borgir, In Flames) in Sweden, while the band logo was crafted by Christophe Szpajdel (Emperor, Moonspell) and the artwork by Adrián Ribes. The music itself was written and recorded entirely by the band.

The band puts it plainly: "I Worship Death delivers a sound that hits like a sledgehammer — classic in spirit, lethal in execution. No gimmicks. No mercy. No escape. Rotten Soil is death metal — pure and uncompromising."
