Rolling Stone "Artist to Watch" MEEK is back with "Terminally Verbal," a self-directed statement on refusing to shrink herself — out now via BMG.

Clocking in at under two minutes, the track doesn't waste a word. MEEK explains: "I spent so much of my life trying to make myself quieter. Less opinionated. More digestible... When I started to understand my neurodiversity on a deeper level and who I am as a person, it was so painful to think I had been minimising that beautiful part of myself to make certain people more comfortable. Terminally Verbal is an acknowledgment that no matter who deems you 'acceptable' or 'palatable,' you are who you are, and your opinions, emotions, and beliefs are absolutely valid and deserve space."
MEEK shot and self-directed the video herself with collaborators at Homoparody in a five-hour shoot. It's her fourth release, following "Fabulous," "Beautiful Freeks," and "Expensive Taste."
She's built a reputation this year as one of pop's most distinctive live acts, with sets at Mighty Hoopla, Capital's Summertime Ball, and London Pride, plus appearances on Saturday Night Live UK and The Tonight Show, and a run as Kesha's special guest on her North American tour.
MEEK heads out on her own headline run this winter, with North American dates:
12/03 — The Independent — San Francisco, CA
12/05 — The Roxy Theatre — Los Angeles, CA
12/08 — Irving Plaza — New York, NY
"Terminally Verbal" was written and recorded at Planet Studios in Montreal with Banx & Ranx.
