Brooklyn five-piece Ok Cowgirl have officially announced their sophomore LP Rhinestone Cowgirl, due out August 21st via Easy Does It Records — and they're kicking things off with the vibrant lead single "Prepared To Lose," premiering via FLOOD alongside a new video.
Produced by Alex Farrar (MJ Lenderman, Indigo De Souza, Wednesday) — the same wizard behind their debut — the track showcases Ok Cowgirl sharpening the emotionally direct songwriting and textured arrangements that have become their signature. Vocalist Leah Lavigne explains:
"It's about facing and accepting the unpredictable nature of the world, and how that acceptance makes room for a deeper sense of gratitude for the people we love and our small daily victories."
If the debut was about what gets lost, Rhinestone Cowgirl is about what gets carried forward — cathartic, cinematic, and rhinestones and all.
