Two of metal's most singular forces are sharing a stage: Nile and Coroner have announced The Underworld Dissonance Tour, a co-headline run hitting 31 US cities next spring, with support from Sun Abstruct and one more guest to be announced.

Both bands will lean on their most recent albums — Nile's "The Underworld Awaits Us All" and Coroner's "Dissonance Theory" (their first new album in over 30 years) — alongside career-spanning staples, with two full headline sets each night.

Nile, from Greenville, SC (with members based in Athens, Greece), have been a pioneering force in technical death metal since 1993, built around Ancient Egyptian mythology and Lovecraftian lore. Coroner, the Swiss trio often called "the Rush of thrash metal," helped define technical/progressive thrash alongside Voivod and Watchtower through the late '80s and early '90s before stepping away in 1996 and returning in 2011.
