Nashville's verygently is the kind of band that earns attention the old-fashioned way — through relentless touring, undeniable chemistry, and songs that feel like they were built to last. Now Gibson Guitars agrees: the iconic instrument brand has named verygently their May Artist Spotlight, giving the trio a spotlight on Gibson's global platform.
The band consists of established Nashville singer-songwriters Drew Erwin, Joey Hendricks, and Tristan Bushman — three artists who found exactly what they were missing in each other when they formed verygently in 2024. Their harmony-driven indie rock blends sharp wit with emotional candor, powered by three-part harmonies and magnetic live energy. They've already shared stages with Augustana, The Fray, The Band Camino, and Ruston Kelly.
Their new single, "STRONGER THAN THAT," was co-written with Sam Hollander and Better Than Ezra's Kevin Griffin — and it leans into a moody, atmospheric soundscape that traces the unraveling of a relationship through the trio's signature harmonies. It's a confident step toward their upcoming full-length album, and it sounds like a band ready to break wide open.
