Post-hardcore's most emotionally precise outfit just set the stage on fire. Southern California's Movements have announced their new album Happier Now, arriving September 4 via Fearless Records, and they're launching it with not one but two brand new tracks — "Dissolve Me" and "Back In My Ways" — paired with a single music video.

"Dissolve Me" sets the tone immediately — tense and angular riffs wrapped in shimmering, layered vocal harmonies that are equal parts mathy and infectious. Vocalist Patrick Miranda opens up about the track:
"Nailing the lead single for an album cycle on the first try is a significant accomplishment... Like much of the record, this song is introspective — a sort of confession about my own social behaviors and the challenges I face in navigating even the smallest or most 'normal' everyday interactions. Sometimes it feels like the only remedy would be to slam my head into a wall."
"Back In My Ways," meanwhile, is a slow-burn meditation that erupts in the final third into a torrent of riffs and emotive vocals, harking back to the band's earlier, sadder sound. Miranda admits he "kinda hated it at first" — and now it's one of his favorites.
Happier Now was produced by GRAMMY-winner Will Yip (Turnstile, Title Fight, Circa Survive), and represents a full circle moment for Movements — even including a return to Vans Warped Tour this summer.
