Montreal-based hard rock project Get Through is back with "A Brand New Start"—a driving, emotionally charged track that doesn't flinch from the weight of hitting rock bottom but refuses to stay there.

The solo project of artist Alex Crowe, Get Through has always used music to confront the harder parts of human experience head-on. "A Brand New Start" follows that formula but pushes the throttle down harder. Built on heavy guitar work and urgent rhythmic momentum, the song moves through shadowed, pressure-cooker verses that capture the paralysis of self-doubt and failure then breaks open into a powerful, clarifying chorus that lands like a breath of fresh air after a long submersion.

That contrast is the whole point. Darkness and drive colliding. The breaking point becoming the turning point.

Lyrically, Crowe leans into the accumulated weight — scars, setbacks, the pressure of expectation — and reframes all of it as fuel. The message isn't that the fall didn't happen. It's that what comes after is what defines you. If you've spent time in that particular mental space where staying down feels easier than getting up, this song knows the address.

Musically, Get Through blends hard rock grit with progressive edge punchy riffs, dynamic structure, and melodic intensity drawing from the Alter Bridge / Creed / Tremonti school of emotionally loaded heavy rock. Fans of Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, and YUNGBLUD will find familiar footing in the balance of aggression and vulnerability.

"A Brand New Start" doesn't dwell on the fall. It locks onto what comes next.
