Molly Hatchet released Lost Horizon on November 27 via Steamhammer, the Southern rock institution's first studio album in 16 years since 2009's Justice — and, for guitarist Bobby Ingram, the fulfillment of a lifelong dream: the entire record was cut at Abbey Road Studios in London.

"In Studio 2, to be precise—that's exactly where the Beatles worked 60 years ago," Ingram says. "We used the same studio and the exact same microphones that Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr had." Engineer Chris Bolster, who has worked with McCartney, Elton John, Kate Bush, and Oasis, manned the board.

The 12-track album introduces two new members alongside longtime players Ingram, John Galvin, and Tim Lindsey: drummer Garrett Ramsden and vocalist Parker Lee, who Ingram says "brings to mind a young Danny Joe Brown," the band's original singer.

Debut single "Dixie Highway" arrives with a video and, per Ingram, tells a true story: "growing up in the south and living life on the edge... driving down a famous highway in Florida with the pedal to the metal."

Molly Hatchet has a run of tour dates through November, including stops at Rocklahoma and a string of theater shows across the South and Midwest.
