Berlin-born, LA-based artist Mimi Barks is back with her brand new single and video "Jericho," the second track from her upcoming EP Dreamstate of Fear (out July 24 via DEATHKISS Records). And she's currently tearing through the U.S. on tour with Little Miss Nasty.
"Jericho" pushes her self-defined "DOOM TRAP" sound further than ever — colliding alternative metal, industrial weight, and modern rock with heavy guitars, dynamic vocals, and a huge hook-led chorus. The track is about inner collapse, transformation, and the breaking apart of everything false to make space for something new.
The video was filmed in Bordeaux and Paris by underground director NineNine99 and Phenix Agency (known for work tied to Ho99o9, Boys Noize, and Gambi).
Mimi says: "What looks like collapse is really release, an undoing of everything that was never truly mine. The old world dissolves making space for something unknown. That's where freedom begins."
