Goth-pop project METAMORPH has ignited with "Witchfire," a witchy, hook-heavy new single (plus dance mix) about pleasure, temptation, and owning your own power. The official video, filmed in New York's East Village and the forests of Vermont, pairs frontwoman Margot Day with bandmate Kurtis Knight against the two backdrops that shaped her life and music.

Day is a fixture of the '80s NYC goth scene, having fronted the band The Plague alongside drummers from Spahn Ranch and Misfits, and was previously bandmates with the Beastie Boys' Adam Yauch. That pedigree shows in METAMORPH's blend of dark synth textures, gothic atmosphere, and genuinely catchy pop hooks.

An extended dance mix featuring a flute solo from Day is also out now, with its own video to follow — "Witchfire" is a fun, magic-laced entry point for anyone sleeping on this project.
