King Buffalo Announce New Album Doomsayer, Share "The Slick and The Dead," Map Out Huge World Tour

Rochester heavy-psych trio King Buffalo will release their seventh album, Doomsayer, on December 4 via King Buffalo (North America) and Stickman Records (UK/EU). The first preview, "The Slick and The Dead," is out now.

"Doomsayer originated in early 2026 out of many hours of jam sessions in our new studio space, playing around and seeing where it took us," says guitarist/vocalist Sean Roa, who also produced and mixed the record. "So much has happened, both as a band and in our personal lives since our last record, that ended up becoming the inspiration to many of the lyrics on Doomsayer... this is some of our most upfront, direct and riff-driven work to date."

Four years removed from 2022's Regenerator, the band recorded the new LP in a studio they built themselves, bringing the poise of years of international touring to bear. Pre-orders — including a 50-copy test pressing and a limited emerald vinyl deluxe edition — begin Friday, September 25.

King Buffalo will back the release with a substantial run: a North American tour kicking off October 29 in Boulder with support from L.A. Witch, Doom Gong, and Handsome Jack, followed by a European trek beginning in March with Spirit Mother opening. Dates run through 22 North American cities and 18 stops across the UK and mainland Europe. Full dates and tickets at Kingbuffalo.com/tour.

King Buffalo is Sean Roa (guitar/vocals), Dan Reynolds (bass), and Scott Donaldson (drums).
