Utopia PKWY is the new, brighter-hued project from John Beckmann, the songwriter and producer behind The Mortal Prophets. Ahead of a self-titled debut LP out November 6, the project has shared its third single, "Nothing Is Missing," a dreamy, hypnotic track exploring the strange persistence of grief. Beckmann calls it "less a song than a philosophical hallucination... where loss doesn't disappear, it simply changes frequency and keeps humming beneath the skin."

Named for the Queens street tied to surrealist artist Joseph Cornell, Utopia PKWY swaps the shadowed atmosphere of The Mortal Prophets for chrome-colored keyboards, warped hooks, and sci-fi theremins. Beckmann steps away from the mic entirely on this project, handing vocal duties to Tanner McGraw and Lawson Mars, whose voices bring a youthful openness to his psychedelic arrangements.

The record has already picked up praise from The Big Takeover, Magnet, and Get Some Magazine ahead of release.
