Interview with Todd Green
What has been inspiring you lately?
Musically, I am listening to a lot of songs by Caamp, Band of Horses, and the new Iron and Wine album. I also love the new Pearl Jam single and it’s awesome to see it have such huge chart success.
Personally, I am inspired by watching my 8-year-old son really get into music and I love talking to him about songs he likes and taking him to his drum lessons each week.
I am also inspired by the positive feedback to my first release, Five Years Later, as a singer-songwriter. It took me until I was 46 to release my first song but now I am ready to keep going and release more stuff.Do you have any new singles, videos, or albums out that you would like to tell me and your fans about?
I have a lyric video coming out in the next 3-4 weeks for my first single, Five Years Later. I am working on a new song called And So We Did. It’s about people moving on without any huge regrets or feeling like they need to be sad for a set period of time. It’s written in its entirety and the guitar and vocals should be recorded in the next few weeks. I also have a song called Long Haul that is something I wrote as part of a course in the Toronto Songwriting School. It has been ready for a while and I just need to record a final vocal mix and it will be good to release.Do you have anything else that you would like to talk about or promote?
I am continuing to release synth/ambient music under the artist name t.d.g and I have a new song called Looking Up that comes out Friday March 15th. I first released synth music before my first song as a singer-songwriter and I have 5 releases under that artist name. How can your fans best keep up to date with you, any socials you want people to check out?
