Interview with Night's Edge

Hey, thank you for coming back for another interview!

Thank you for having us, this is actually our first interview with Volatile Weekly and we are glad to be here to break the ice!

What is new since the last interview?

Lots! We have released two singles over the last couple months, “If You Loved Me” and “Someone to Stay”, both of which are off of our upcoming album “The World That Never Was” which will be out on August 21st.  We’ve got two more pre-release singles on their way, “Smite” which will be released, with lyric video, on June 6th and “Love Fiction” that will be out on July 10th.

What has been inspiring you lately?

There is always new and inspiring music to listen to, I have been spinning Seven Spire’s 2024 album almost daily - it is a dense prog/symphonic record that has so much drama to fall into, really scratches the itch of basically everything that I like in music.

Pretty big departure, but I have also been jamming out hard to Bilmuri’s last album American Motorsports.  I really don't like pop county, or easycore, but when they’re mixed together it just works for me.  I can’t explain it.  It’s a vibe, man.

Do you have any new singles, videos, or albums out that you would like to tell me and your fans about?

Yes! As I mentioned we have a new album “The World That Never Was” which will be coming out on August 21st. This album really offers something different from the rest of what is going on in rock and metal right now, with a diverse and hybrid sound mixing everything from symphonic metal to alternative and post-hardcore into a sound that is very uniquely our own.  Each song brings something different to the table, with upcoming single “Smite” (June 6th) being a balls out, heavy chimera between Slipknot and Ghost and the following single “Love Fiction” being a reflective, almost gentle love song to one’s ghosts.  The lyrics dive deep into self-identity and the loss thereof, and really reflect on the idea of who a person is, how they can lose themselves, and what their place is in all of this.

Do you have anything else that you would like to talk about or promote?
