Interview with Kristin Venae
What got you into music, and if you had not gotten into music what would you be doing today?
Singing with my Mama and at church got me into music. If I wasn’t in the entertainment industry I’d probably be A Lawyer.
What do you like to do when you are not playing music and how does that influence your creativity?
Dance, it’s one of my favourite things to do and spend time with family and swim I love water.
How long have you been making music?
Since I was a teenager.
Where are you based and how did that influence your music?
I’m from Sydney Australia, I started out performing in a Latin Band and grew up Listening to all sorts of music so I feel the influences of different genres is evident in my compositions.
Tell me about your most memorable shows, if you haven’t played live what is your vision for a live show.
So many but my most recent live performances post treatment was extra special.
What is your favorite venue to play at, and do you have any places you want to play that you have not already?
So many places I’d love to perform at. At big Award show like the Grammys would be tge ultimate.
If you could play any show with any lineup, who would be on the ticket?
I’d love to do something with Mariah
What is some advice that you would give to someone who is just getting into making music and some advice that you would give to your younger self?
Make music because you love it not to make money. To my younger self to accept opportunities and not to be afraid.
Of your songs which one means the most to you and why?
Still Here because it’s so uplifting and really encapsulates the way I view love.
Which songs are your favorite to play and which get requested the most?
I love performing Break the Chain but so far Still Here is the Favourite.
What is your creative process, and what inspires you to write your music?
Anything really if I get an idea I will usually finish the whole song in a sitting I rarely go back to ideas I’ve left.
Do you have messages that you like to get across in your music? if so please tell me about them.
I guess truth in the fantasy and authenticity of the story I’m telling.
Do you have any new singles, videos, or albums out that you would like to tell me and your fans about?
Still Here music Video I did with Antonio Sabato Jr will be out this year and my new single Break the Chain.
What are your plans for the future, and do you have anything that you want to spotlight that is coming up?
Just a lot of Radio and interviews and the music video premiere I’m very excited about.
