French melodic metal outfit Kingcrown return with their new album Moonfall, out September 4th via Rockshots Records. Drummer David Amore filled us in on the new record and what keeps the band going.

What is new since the last interview?
We've written and recorded a new album, Moonfall, coming out September 4th via Rockshots Records. It's been a team effort between the musicians, our managers and the merch crew — "we make a great team," Amore says.

What has been inspiring you lately?
Live music, without question. Amore says nothing in the studio replicates the feeling of being on stage, and after years behind the kit he still finds inspiration in riffs, vocal lines and rhythms well outside metal.

Tell us about your new music.
Two music videos, "Lost Horizon" and "Nothing," have already been released ahead of Moonfall, with a third video due by the end of August. Expect powerful, melodic heavy metal with memorable choruses, massive guitars and hard-hitting drums.

Anything else you want to promote?
Amore is emphatic about the live show: "KINGCROWN is a band made for the stage... come and see KINGCROWN live. That's probably the best way to understand who we are." He's also writing new material for his other band, Nightmare, aiming for a 2027 release.
