Hey, thank you for coming back for another interview!
I'm stoked to be here talking with you.
What is new since the last interview?
There's a lot of new stuff going on recently. My band, Freya, just did a 4-week tour in Europe promoting our album, Fight As One, and the single BLOODTHIRST on Upstate Records. Thanks to Rigtime for coming on board and taking care of some of the duties. While they were on the road, I am releasing a solo album under the name ASHES OF THE SUN- GODS WITH MACHINES. Coming out August 1, 2025. Most recently, I was invited to perform with VOID EMPEROR out of Syracuse, and we will see where that goes.
What has been inspiring you lately?
I have been trying to take things back lately. Although I accomplish a lot more these days and have the ability to complete my creative tasks, I felt I needed new inspiration, or rather, old inspiration. I started listening to the music and watching movies from the 70s, 80s, and 90s to help get my mindset back to those glory days. Having those things in my life has opened those old memories and feelings I had. jump-starting the engine again and really influencing my music, writing, and art. So, go back to the metal, hardcore, hardrock, and movies of those years, and you're where I'm chillin lately. Haha
Do you have any new singles, videos, or albums out that you would like to tell me and your fans about?
I recently dropped a couple of singles from my new album. A NEW WAY TO DIE and HERE TO STAY. I made videos for both and can be found on our website and our YouTube channel, Ignoranttouristproductions.com. August 1, my full-length album ASHES OF THE SUN- GODS WITH MACHINES is being released through my production company, IGNORANT TOURIST PRODUCTIONS LLC.
A few years ago, my band FREYA dropped the album FIGHT AS ONE, featuring guest spots from JAMEY JASTA (HATEBREED), FREDDY CRICIEN (MADBALL), and SCOTT VOGEL (TERROR) on UPSTATE RECORDS out of Albany, New York, as well as a follow-up single, BLOODTHIRST.
I also CO-wrote and directed a horror film called SEVERANCE MOUNTAIN available on Amazon, Apple TV and a few others, so check that out if ya get a chance. Trailers are on our website and YouTube channel as well.
Do you have anything else that you would like to talk about or promote?
Yeah, I started IGNORANT TOURIST PRODUCTIONS LLC years ago as an idea to promote my art. Whether it be music, prop making or LMS. I have been trying to keep everything under one roof. I am currently working on a sci/action/comedy pilot for a TV show, and try to drop updates on that as we move forward. We have been compiling the films, music, and art, and releasing them on our website for people to check out. Support indie music, films, and art. Don't let that shit die. There are a lot of us making it so you'll have plenty to keep ya entertained. Find what ya like and support them. It can be the future if we all do our part.
