Philadelphia progressive extreme metal collective IATT have unleashed their new album Etheric Realms of the Night today via Black Lion Records, alongside a mesmerizing music video for the track "To Lie Beneath."

Built around the terrifying sensation of sleep paralysis, "To Lie Beneath" weaves shrill black metal vocals over harp, orchestral strings, flute, and a dizzying trumpet solo courtesy of guest Jerome Burns. It's the kind of track that grabs you by the chest and doesn't let go — exactly what IATT does best.

The cinematic music video mirrors the disorientation of the concept: a protagonist bound and blindfolded, navigating woodland under the watchful eyes of cloaked figures, stumbling between reality and a dream realm. Deeply unsettling. Utterly brilliant.

Etheric Realms of the Night is a fully realized concept album fusing blackened aggression, technical precision, jazz-influenced phrasing, classical orchestrations, and cinematic atmosphere across seven sprawling tracks. IATT are also dropping a full companion film — and will perform the album in its entirety on their upcoming East Coast and Canada tour.
