North Glasgow four-piece The Missprint, a teenage indie-rock band, have a new single, "Clarity," out October 16 alongside their debut EP, Something's Better Than Nothing. There is no embargo on the single.
The band (Kyle McMillan, vocals/guitar; Daniel Spence, lead guitar; John Gray, bass; Joshua Craig, drums) all went to the same school. In under a year they have sold out Glasgow shows, headlined King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, and launched the EP to a sold-out Poetry Club at SWG3 on October 2. Earlier singles "Advice" and "Bittersweet Ritual" picked up global airplay.
The EP runs "Advice," "Bittersweet Ritual," "Clarity" and "Lightswitch," recorded at Starla Recordings and mixed and mastered by Calum Mackison at The Bear Cave. Of the EP the band says: "This EP shares the start of The Missprint, finding our sound, experimenting and some rough edges that as we grow and develop, will define us as a band." For fans of Arctic Monkeys, The Stone Roses and The Strokes.
