Death metal's ice-cold battalion Frozen Soul have unleashed their highly anticipated third album No Place of Warmth today via Century Media — and it arrives alongside a gnarly new video for focus track "Chaos Will Reign."
The video is a prequel to their "Morbid Effigy" visual — a cinematic snow globe horror twist that builds out the Frozen Soul Cinematic Universe. Frontman Chad Green explains the concept: "What if you didn't know we were in the snow globe until the end?" Unsettling? Absolutely. Brilliant? Undeniably.
Across 11 tracks, No Place of Warmth is a relentless, focused assault — death metal at its most primordial, with guest appearances from Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance, Devin Swank from Sanguisugabogg, and Rob Flynn from Machine Head. The critical reception has been staggering:
