Southern California alt-hard-rock outfit Dead Poet Society have returned with their brooding new single and music video, "Sinner Systems" — and it's the kind of dark, angular banger that's going to stick in your skull whether you want it to or not.

"'Sinner Systems' is a dark, brooding song that blends heavy, detuned fretless grooves with addictive, hedonistic lyrics that hold a mirror up to modern excess and emotional numbness," the band explains. "We explored the duality of the detuned and the melodic and came up with a song that is a cinematic journey for the listener."

The track was produced by Paul Meany (Twenty One Pilots, Pierce The Veil) and mixed by Adam Hawkins (Turnstile, Yungblud, Twenty One Pilots) — a dream team that clearly pushed the band into their most intense territory yet. The voyeuristic video is every bit as tense as the low-end riffing demands.

Dead Poet Society — Jack Underkofler (vocals/guitar), Jack Collins (guitar), Will Goodroad (drums), and Dylan Brenner (bass) — have racked up 200 million cumulative streams on the backs of their debut -!- (2021) and sophomore effort FISSION (2024), both via Spinefarm.
