Canadian modern metal band OSYRON have announced their fifth, self-titled album — due November 27 via Distortion Music Group/Reigning Phoenix Music — and shared a video for lead single "Higher."
The track pairs an atmospheric build with the band's usual arsenal: soaring choruses, dual guitar harmonies, and contrasting clean and harsh vocals. Guitarist Bobby Harley says the riff foundation actually dates back to 2013, revived and reworked for the new record. "We wanted you to be able to sing the chorus right back to us," he says of the song's intent.
Formed in 2012, OSYRON have built a decade-plus résumé that includes a Western Canadian Music Award nomination, a FACTOR Canada grant, and stage time alongside Nightwish, Judas Priest, Kreator, and Amorphis, including festival dates at Rock Castle and Masters of Rock in Czechia. The new deal with DMG follows four prior albums and sets up what the band calls their biggest step forward yet.
OSYRON is Reed Alton (vocals), Krzysztof Stalmach and Bobby Harley (guitars), Tyler Corbett (bass), and Cody Anstey (drums).
