Lithuanian avant-garde metal quintet BLACK SPIKES are building one of the more intriguing concept album rollouts of 2026. Following their recent tour with INFECTED RAIN, they've dropped the cinematic video for "REVANA" — a dark, historically-inspired visual piece that depicts the Lithuanian witch hunts of the 17th century. Heavy stuff, beautifully executed.

"REVANA" is the personification of revenge on Ydos, their upcoming Napalm Records debut, where every track represents one of humankind's vices as a named demon. The concept is as ambitious as the music — modern progressive metal with dark electronic elements, a fusion that earns comparisons to the genre's most forward-thinking acts.

"Revenge promises closure but often delivers continuation," the band explains. "In the music video, we depict a story inspired by the witch hunts that reached Lithuania in the 17th century. Women who stood out for their curiosity or who did not easily fit into society were often falsely accused of witchcraft."

The band was recently nominated at Lithuania's M.A.M.A. Music Awards — their home country's Grammy equivalent — and with Ydos arriving August 28 via Napalm Records, they're positioning themselves as a major international act to watch. Singer Agni leads the charge with a voice that alternates between soaring highs and guttural force, over riffs that lean into progressive complexity without losing the groove.
