Irish death metal/grindcore act Ancient Malice released their new EP Worm Tongue on September 4th, and it's a five-track blast of old-school filth.

Following their debut CD Accept the Vile Gifts of the Dead, Ancient Malice stay planted in the mud of late-80s death metal, crust, and grindcore — HM-2 distortion, blastbeats, slow rotten breakdowns, and grind bursts recorded with no click and no drop-ins to keep things loose and live-sounding. Lyrically the EP leans into morbidity, depression, psychedelics, and left-hand-path occultism, with a sound indebted to Napalm Death, Repulsion, early Entombed, 80s Morbid Angel, Deicide, and Terrorizer.
