Amon Amarth have unveiled "Eight Legs of Thunder," the final preview before their new album The Allfather Awakens lands October 2 via Metal Blade Records. Inspired by Sleipnir, Odin's eight-legged steed, the galloping, sing-along-ready track comes paired with a surprising visual left-turn: a dusty modern-American-Western video, complete with cowboys and pickup trucks, before Sleipnir himself gallops into a surreal dream sequence.

Director Dariusz Szermanowicz says the goal was to break the traditional metal-video mold: "We fused the raw, dusty vibe of a modern western with the epic, dark mythology of Odin's eight-legged steed."

The Allfather Awakens is a ten-track collection of historically inspired tales of conflict and sacrifice rather than a single concept narrative, continuing the band's long relationship with Norse mythology. It was written and recorded across two sessions with producer Jacob Hansen in Denmark, with the band writing songs while still on tour and treating each track like its own single.
